2016 Lions Tour de Manawatu Charity Cycle Challenge
The Tour de Manawatu Charity Cycle Challenge is held annually on the first Sunday in November and attracts riders, both local and further afield. The various rides are ideal as a fun, family event or as a personal challenge. There are short, medium and long distances and entry is open to individuals or tandem riders. All races are timed with the exception of the 20km individual and tandem, both of which are un-timed.
The Major Beneficiary for this years Charity Cycle Challenge is : -
Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter, which is based in Palmerston North, operated by Philips Search and Rescue Trust.

While enjoying the ride, you will also be cycling through Palmerston North and the scenic Manawatu District countryside. After the ride concludes, the fun continues with a great number of exciting spot prizes to be handed out. Times and photos of the event are later available on this website.
The tour is run by an enthusiastic and experienced committee and is generously supported every year by local businesses. Proceeds from the Fitzherbert Lions Tour de Manawatu Charity Cycle Challenge will be donated to Local Charities and or Community Organisations.
